Relationships with our employees, suppliers, and local communities
Be a fair and equitable employer that develops its people
To achieve this, we are working towards several key targets:
___
Targets
- Increase gender balance across all organizational levels, bringing women’s representation to over one-third in senior management and in lower and middle management by 2023.
- Develop a baseline and ensure gender pay equity by 2030.
- Ensure that 90% of our employees with digital access complete mandatory annual compliance training.
- Increase the depth and quality of training and development opportunities available to employees to upgrade their skills and facilitate continued employability by 2030.
- Maintain at least 90% participation of employees in regular performance and career development reviews.
- Conduct a human rights risk assessment of our operations and a subsequent internal audit by 2027.
Focus on health & safety and overall well-being of our employees
To promote awareness and prevent accidents and injuries, continuous training on health, safety, and well-being is provided to all employees. To support these goals, we have a global Health and Safety program that is regularly updated to provide clear guidance on required processes at each unit while defining team, unit, and regional Occupational health & safety (OHS) responsibilities.
___
Targets
- Continue aligning reporting across gategroup throughout 2025, set a solid baseline, and aim for a 5% annual reduction in incidents by 2030.
- 100% of main locations align on an international standard on OHS (e.g., ISO 45001 or equivalent safety management system) by 2028.
Grow a supply chain committed to ethical standards
Identifying risks and opportunities within our supply chain is a crucial focus for business continuity, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and steering gategroup’s indirect impact on sustainable development around the world.
___
Targets
- Manage potential ESG risks in the supply chain by conducting supplier self-assessments to identify areas for improvement and selecting suppliers for physical audits.
- Reach the 85%+ target for Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC) acceptance among existing and new targeted suppliers by 2030.
Foster positive impact in our local communities
Our global framework for charitable activities continues to drive our outreach, ensuring that every initiative aligns with our core theme: “Food and Local Communities.” This structure supports our locations and regional teams in driving meaningful, locally relevant programs that have a lasting impact.
___
Targets
- Each region will support at least one employee-selected local community project by 2026.
- Engage with our host communities to provide work opportunities and a sustainable path for professional growth.
