gategourmet Argentina has opened a new production facility at Buenos Aires Airport (AEP) after recent renovations to the airport. The new facility opened on December 11, 2024.
Zurich, Switzerland. December 18, 2024: On December 11, gategourmet Argentina inaugurated its new production facility at Buenos Aires Airport (AEP). gategourmet Argentina has been operating out of their unit at AEP for over 44 years. Following recent renovations and remodeling by AEP airport authorities, gategourmet Argentina has secured a new space for its production facility. This new building, located across the street from the old location, has been built as an entirely new unit with improved production and operational processes and flows, bonded airline storage areas, a new employee cafeteria, and employee locker rooms specially equipped to meet the requirements of those with special needs.
The 1,500m2 production facility has the capacity to make up to 10,000 meals per day, with an average of 6,800 meals being made for customers, serving 130 flights per day through gategourmet’s partners. The facility is a two-minute drive from the airport ramp and will be the working space for over 180 employees and house 15 vehicles.
By moving into this new facility, gategourmet is not only improving the work environment for its employees, but also improving their efficiency and operational execution so they can maintain their high-quality work, continuing to give best-in-class service to each customer.
