A chef from gategourmet Brazil has won the YOCUTA Young Culinary Talent Award for 2024

Caroline Gonçalves Barbosa, a pastry chef at the gategourmet Brazil unit, is the winner of the 2024 YOCUTA Talent Award (Young Culinary Talents program).

Nestlé’s YOCUTA – Young Culinary Talents program is aimed at young culinary students from low-income families who are looking to improve their professional skills and establish themselves in the competitive culinary market.

With the support of gategourmet’s culinary leadership team, Caroline Gonçalves enrolled in the program and was selected from over 6,000 young people across Brazil. The participants began with online courses and training sessions, after which 66 individuals were chosen for a week of in-person courses and activities at the Nestlé unit in São Paulo. 

During this intense week of training, 12 participants stood out for their performance and advanced to the final competition. In this stage, Caroline demonstrated her excellence and creativity, winning first place and raising the quality of our cuisine to the highest level on the podium of this important competition for young talents.

Caroline’s triumph is not only a recognition of her dedication and skills but also a reflection of gategourmet’s commitment to supporting and developing new talents in the culinary field.
