January 17, 2024: gategroup´s brand gateretail is happy to announce the renewal of its current contract, for another five-years, to deliver and manage the full onboard retail program for Wizz Air, Europe´s fastest-growing ultra-low-cost carrier headquartered in Budapest, Hungary.
gateretail will continue to manage the retail offer for WIZZ as they drive their global expansion and reach 500 aircraft. WIZZ will continue to benefit from gateretail’s full retail services as Merchant on record with a full network and LMP management & digital platform solutions, providing a full connected galley and retail platform, which is unique in the market.
This renewed confidence sits on a strong foundation based on profitability, capacity to grow in new markets at record pace, tangible digital transformation, and a common vision for ancillary contribution.
